Customer Success Engineer - Sydney
neara · Sydney
Job description
About the role
Neara uses machine learning to build physics-enabled digital twins of electricity grids across four continents, helping utilities and infrastructure owners understand risks and optimise investments. As a Customer Success Engineer in Sydney, you will own the outcomes customers get from the platform, working across a portfolio of enterprise accounts on different continents. The role is Sydney-based and involves real time on-site with the people using Neara every day.
Key responsibilities
- Become a Neara expert: get deeply proficient in the platform and the models behind it.
- Help stand up and refine network models and solutions such as vegetation management, working closely with Deployment.
- Enable customer teams to use Neara through hands-on support, training and workshops tailored to their workflows.
- Track delivery against scope and business outcomes, and support the workflow and change management work outside the core platform.
- Act as the go-to technical contact for engineers and teams, giving clear guidance on getting more from the platform.
- Identify new pain points and business drivers and bring them to Sales and Deployment to shape account strategy.
- Share learnings and patterns across accounts with Sales, Deployment and Product.
Required profile
- Experience working with enterprise customers and stakeholders, from consulting, customer success, solutions or technical roles.
- Comfort with enterprise software platforms and deployments, and a willingness to learn the engineering behind them.
- Understanding of how technology creates business value, and experience helping customers measure it.
- Clear communication, explaining complex technical topics simply to engineers and executives.
- Outcome-first thinking, relationship building and a proactive approach to solving customer problems.
- Bonus points for experience in infrastructure or the energy sector, or an engineering degree; neither is essential.
What we offer
- Competitive salary plus ESOP.
- Significant career development and growth opportunities.
- Fully flexible working arrangements with a well-stocked office in Redfern.
- A meritocratic, non-bureaucratic work culture and regular company events.
