Customer Success Engineer

About the role

Algolia is looking for a Customer Success Engineer to help customers adopt, implement, and scale its generative search and discovery platform. You will work closely with customers to deliver technical onboarding, solution design, and hands‑on implementation support.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with customers on technical needs, delivering ad‑hoc services and tailored solutions.
• Design and run technical workshops to drive platform adoption.
• Advise on best practices for search implementation, optimization, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to ensure long‑term customer health.
• Escalate issues across the organisation and partner with Product and Engineering teams as a subject‑matter expert.
• Produce regular case status reports and proactively address technical risks.

Required profile

• 4+ years in a customer‑facing technical role (e.g., CSE, SE, consultant) within SaaS.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain complex concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Proactive, reliable, and collaborative mindset with excellent time‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites.

Required skills

• Functional knowledge of at least one programming language (JavaScript, Java, PHP, C#, Objective‑C, Swift, Ruby, Python).
• Experience with REST APIs, database management, and web development technologies.
• Ability to deliver technical workshops, training, and code reviews.
