Customer Service Officer Trainee (Certificate III Business)

About the role

Bendigo Bank, Hamilton branch, is recruiting a full-time Trainee Customer Service Officer through Westvic Staffing Solutions. The role is a paid traineeship leading to a nationally recognised Certificate III in Business, with 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm. The trainee learns to carry out a range of functions that keep the branch running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Talk to customers face to face or over the phone and identify their needs, offering relevant banking solutions
• Deliver core banking services and complete standard bank transactions and common products and services
• Sell products and services directly to consumers and promote the bank's offerings in the marketplace
• Support the branch's strategies to grow loans and deposits and take part in the local community
• Learn basic maths and use various types of technology and software

Required profile

• Aptitude for numbers, well organised and able to work accurately and neatly
• Good written and verbal communication skills, able to work as part of a team and meet deadlines
• Positive and professional attitude with a broad range of clients; some customer service experience preferred but not essential
• Experience in a team environment; driver's licence preferred
• Must pass a National Police check
