Accountant (CA/CPA) – Hamilton, Queensland

About the role

A qualified or part-qualified Accountant is sought for a Brisbane-based organisation, advertised through Robert Half for the Hamilton area. The role sits within a collaborative finance team, working closely with the Finance Manager and key stakeholders. It is a hands-on position covering core financial accounting, management reporting and financial analysis, with onsite parking and one day of WFH per week.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial reporting and monthly management accounts, journals, accruals and prepayments
• Manage balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany accounting, and support consolidation and intercompany elimination
• Assist with statutory reporting, taxation requirements and audit processes
• Prepare and analyse budgets, forecasts and variance reports, and prepare weekly cash flow forecasts
• Maintain fixed asset registers and support payroll processes and compliance
• Partner with stakeholders to provide financial insights and recommendations

Required profile

• CA/CPA qualified or studying towards qualification
• Commercial experience and experience with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
