Customer Service Officer - Homecare Support

About the role

A client is looking for experienced, customer-focused Customer Service Officers to join its busy and growing team in North Ryde, NSW. The role supports the Homecare customer portfolio across Australia, helping patients, carers, healthcare providers and other stakeholders who rely on Homecare products and services. It involves a high volume of inbound calls and enquiries, often from people in sensitive or challenging circumstances.

Key responsibilities

• Handle a high volume of inbound customer calls with professional, friendly and empathetic service.
• Assist customers with order placement and enquiries by phone and email.
• Process prescription-based requirements accurately and efficiently.
• Manage customer contract entitlements and associated requirements.
• Coordinate equipment orders, supply arrangements and delivery tracking.
• Communicate proactively about delayed deliveries and arrange urgent orders where needed.
• Maintain accurate customer records in line with Homecare procedures and compliance requirements.
• Work with internal teams to resolve customer issues quickly.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a high-volume inbound customer service or call centre environment.
• Naturally empathetic and patient, especially with sensitive or vulnerable customers.
• Ability to handle challenging conversations professionally and multitask in a fast pace.
• Must pass a police check and drug and alcohol test.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use multiple systems.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
