Customer Service Operator - Western Sydney

About the role

Norwest Recruitment is recruiting a Customer Service Operator for a long-standing global organisation based in Western Sydney (Blacktown). The role is a hands-on customer service position, acting as the key point of contact for customers and sales teams across Australia. You will manage enquiries, process orders, coordinate with warehouses and freight providers, and support the sales team to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incoming customer calls and enquiries about orders, products, pricing and availability
• Process customer orders accurately through SAP
• Liaise with warehouse managers, sales representatives and freight companies on orders and deliveries
• Follow up outstanding orders, backorders, stock availability and delivery issues
• Make proactive outbound calls to follow up enquiries, quotes and orders
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
• Support Business Development Executives with stock level reporting and order assistance
• Manage enquiries through the ticketing system and shared inbox
• Process invoices and general administration related to customer orders
• Build strong customer relationships and work with the Hub team to resolve customer, stock and delivery issues

Required profile

• Previous experience in customer service, call centre or sales support, or a strong desire to learn
• Strong verbal communication and professional telephone manner
• Attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders
• Confidence making outbound calls and a commercial mindset
• Ability to work collaboratively with sales, warehouse and operational teams
• Positive, motivated and outgoing personality

Required skills

• Microsoft Office
• SAP (previous experience is an advantage; training will be provided)
• Experience with ticketing systems, shared inboxes or CRM platforms is advantageous
