Customer Service Officer - Global Freight

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Officer to join DP World’s Global Forwarding team in Myaree, WA. The role acts as a trusted partner to customers, overseeing the movement of import shipments and ensuring a seamless experience from arrival to final delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries and coordinate end‑to‑end shipment processes.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
• Monitor shipment progress, identify potential issues and provide timely updates and solutions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Sales, Commercial and Business Development teams to meet customer requirements and service levels.
• Support onboarding and transition of new customer accounts.
• Prepare quotations, rate requests and identify opportunities to grow existing customer relationships.

Required profile

• Experience in freight forwarding with strong knowledge of import operations.
• Good understanding of Australian import processes and the broader supply chain.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and resolve issues effectively.
• Excellent communication, customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Industry qualifications such as RACA, IATA or FIATA are desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CargoWise (system and administrative skills).
