Customer Field Technician I

About the role

Join nbn as a Customer Field Technician and help connect homes and businesses across Australia. You will receive full training, a vehicle, fuel card, tools, uniform and ongoing support to succeed in this hands‑on, customer‑focused position.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment in homes and businesses.
• Perform repairs, maintenance and fault identification, ensuring customers feel supported throughout the process.
• Work independently across various nbn technologies while adhering to safety procedures.

Required profile

• Hands‑on work experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, construction, mechanical or manufacturing.
• Strong communication skills, ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Current, clean driver’s licence and commitment to safety.

Required skills

• Installation of copper or fibre cabling.
• Customer equipment setup.
• Fault identification and resolution.
