Customer Field Technician I - Cairns

About the role

nbn is looking for people based in Cairns who enjoy practical, hands-on work and are open to learning new skills. This is a permanent, full-time Customer Field Technician role where you work independently to complete a variety of tasks across different nbn technologies, helping connect homes and communities. Working hours are between 7am and 7pm, with flexibility depending on business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Install copper or fibre cabling and set up customer equipment
• Identify and fix faults
• Support customers in their homes or businesses, keeping them informed throughout the process
• Follow safe work practices and nbn's safety procedures at all times

Required profile

• No previous telecommunications experience needed; full training is provided
• Experience in trades such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, construction, civils, hospitality, manufacturing or customer service is highly valued
• Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and deliver quality work
• Clear communication skills and a current, clean driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia
