Customer Banking Specialist - Castle Plaza (15 hrs/week)

About the role

The Retail Bank is looking for a Customer Banking Specialist to join its Castle Plaza branch in Edwardstown on a part-time basis of 15 hours per week. Rosters are predetermined, and candidates must be available for Tuesday and Wednesday 9:30am-2:30pm and Thursday 11:00am-4:00pm. The role works closely with the Branch Manager and colleagues to deliver a good experience for every customer.

Key responsibilities

• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversations
• Help customers use in-branch technology and digital banking options
• Respond to customers' transactional needs in the branch
• Interview and process applications for personal loans, credit cards and related products
• Call customers proactively to invite them to a Financial Health Check or an appointment with a specialist
• Follow bank processes, including reconciling transactions and reviewing customers' financial positions
• Take part in community events and fundraising, and look after the safety and wellbeing of the team
• Capture customer feedback and act on service gaps

Required profile

• Ability to ask the right questions, act with integrity and put the customer first
• Passion for service excellence, able to work independently and to refer customers to other specialists
• Ability to work in a busy, commercial retail environment while seeing the big picture
• Genuine passion for the customer
