Customer Banking Specialist - Carnarvon (Part-Time)

About the role

The Retail Bank is looking for a Customer Banking Specialist to join its Carnarvon branch on a part-time basis of 22.5 hours per week. Rosters are predetermined, and candidates must be available to cover Monday 9am–1.30pm and Tuesday to Friday 9.30am–2pm. The role works closely with the Branch Manager and colleagues to deliver a good experience for every customer.

Key responsibilities

• Build a personal connection with customers through meaningful conversation.
• Help customers use in-branch technology and digital banking options.
• Respond to customers' transactional needs in the branch.
• Interview customers and process applications for personal loans, credit cards and related products.
• Call customers proactively to invite them to a Financial Health Check or an appointment with a specialist.
• Follow bank processes, including reconciling transactions and reviewing customers' financial positions.
• Take part in community events and fundraising activities.
• Use tools to capture customer feedback and improve service.

• Ability to ask the right questions, act with integrity and put the customer first.
• Passion for service excellence, able to work independently and to refer customers to other specialists.
• Ability to work in a busy, commercial retail environment while seeing the big picture for customers.
