Culinary Administrative Assistant

About the role

The Culinary Administrative Assistant provides day‑to‑day administrative support to the Kitchen team at Hyatt Regency Sydney, reporting directly to the Executive Chef. This role blends hospitality knowledge with strong organisational skills to keep kitchen operations running smoothly in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Support all kitchen outlets and perform delegated tasks from the Executive Chef.
• Maintain departmental databases, recipe cards, filing systems and record‑keeping tools.
• Ensure compliance with HACCP and hotel hygiene standards.
• Manage incoming emails, phone calls and customer inquiries.
• Assist with recruitment, training coordination and staff communication across outlets.
• Help oversee roster creation and payroll accuracy for kitchen staff.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel or hospitality administration (highly regarded).
• Passion for delivering quality guest experiences.
• Strong interpersonal, problem‑solving and coordination abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast‑moving environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP food safety standards.
• Familiarity with Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations.
• Understanding of kitchen hygiene practices.
