Crushing Plant Operator / Maintainer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Crushing Plant Operator/Maintainer to join our calcrete crushing area at Murrin Murrin Operations. The role involves operating and maintaining a 4‑stage crushing and screening plant to ensure reliable production.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, planned and reactive maintenance, and shutdown work on the calcrete crushing & screening plant and associated conveyors.
• Safely operate primary, secondary and tertiary crushers, screens and conveyors.
• Operate support equipment such as Bobcats, skid‑steers, CAT 988 loader and 20‑ton excavator for clean‑up and material handling.
• Monitor and manage milling systems for calcrete production and consumption.
• Oversee ROM operations, including calcrete stockpile management, traffic control, and demarcation/exclusion zones.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or a related discipline.
• Fixed‑plant mechanical maintenance experience, preferably with jaw, roll, cone or vertical‑shaft impact crushers.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and knowledge of hydraulic system troubleshooting.
• Ability to work autonomously or as part of a crew, including planning for shutdowns.
• Relevant equipment tickets (Excavator, Front‑End Loader, Skid‑Steer, Forklift) advantageous.
• Demonstrated crushing plant experience and, where applicable, confined‑space or working‑at‑heights training.
