Credit Risk Manager – Provisioning, Forecasting & Account Management

About the role

ING is seeking a strategic Credit Risk Manager to lead provisioning and forecasting workstreams for a dynamic retail lending portfolio. You will influence senior stakeholders, ensure regulatory compliance, and help protect the bank's financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end provisioning and forecasting processes, delivering insights for strategic decision‑making and financial planning.
• Monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risk trends, and recommend actions to safeguard portfolio health.
• Partner with senior leaders across Risk, Finance, Product and Operations to provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accounting frameworks such as IFRS 9 and APS 220.
• Oversee account management, collections and hardship strategies to optimise performance.
• Conduct deep‑dive portfolio reviews and scenario analysis, translating complex data into forward‑looking risk forecasts.

Required profile

• 5+ years of credit risk management experience in banking or financial services.
• Strong understanding of credit risk principles, the credit lifecycle and banking products.
• Ability to balance risk management with commercial objectives and build trusted relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAS, SQL, R or Python for large data‑set manipulation.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory and accounting frameworks (e.g., IFRS 9, APS 220).
