Crane Technician – Inspection & Repair

About the role

Konecranes is seeking a skilled Technician to perform inspection, repair, modernisation and installation services on a variety of standard cranes across Australia. You will work independently on field jobs, respond to emergency breakdowns, and ensure customers receive reliable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out thorough inspection services on multiple makes and models of standard cranes.
• Perform repair, field modernisation and installation tasks on site.
• Identify, source and order required parts from the Konecranes store.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, diagnose faults and execute repairs.
• Utilise 1KC tools and promote a professional image to customers.
• Report to the Field Supervisor and collaborate with fellow Technicians.
• Participate in company meetings and training sessions.

Required profile

• Electrical Licence or Mechanical Trade Certificate with Restricted Electrical Licence.
• Current, valid driver’s licence.
• Working at Heights competency and Elevated Work Platform ticket.
• Broad knowledge of relevant Australian Standards.
• Understanding of Konecranes safety, risk assessment procedures and product range.
• Ability to identify and contact local support functions and global technical support when needed.
