Core Yard Technician

About the role

Join Westgold Resources as a Core Yard Technician and support the geology team in processing drill core, sampling, and managing geological data in a fast‑paced underground mining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process diamond drill core – mark‑up, cut, sample and photograph.
• Prepare samples and chip trays to QAQC standards, including blanks, standards and duplicates.
• Sample surface and underground stockpiles and assist with geological mapping preparation.
• Maintain consumable stock levels and complete regular stocktakes.
• Accurately enter geological data and perform daily workplace inspections.

Required profile

• Strong computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office and data‑entry systems.
• Forklift licence (highly regarded) and an unrestricted WA Class C driver’s licence.
