Coordinator City Transport

About the role

The Coordinator Transport will join the City of Ryde’s Transport team to develop and deliver evidence‑based transport strategies and plans that shape the city’s future. You will work on a variety of projects, supporting senior staff and gaining hands‑on experience with major city‑shaping initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Support the preparation and implementation of transport strategies, plans and policies aligned with integrated land‑use and sustainable transport objectives.
• Assist the Senior Coordinator and Manager Transport in drafting council reports, bulletins and briefing notes, providing evidence‑based recommendations.
• Review major development proposals, including State Significant Development Applications (SSDA), State Significant Infrastructure Projects (SSI), Development Applications (DA) and Review of Environmental Factors (REFs).
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transport initiatives are coordinated with broader city projects.
• Analyse data, assess feasibility of transport options and communicate findings to decision‑makers.

• Tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in transport planning, infrastructure or a related field.
