Cook - Aged Care Home

About the role

Bupa Kempsey is a modern 82-bed care home in the Mid North Coast region of NSW, offering a variety of care units. It is looking for a Cook to provide well-presented, nutritious meals in a home-like environment, with a person-first approach that makes a real difference to residents' lives. This is a permanent full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and prepare well-balanced, nutritious meals for residents
• Liaise with residents, families and the care team to meet dietary, individual and cultural needs
• Support the efficient running of kitchen and catering services
• Follow infection control and food safety procedures
• Handle kitchen administration such as stock taking and food quality assessment

Required profile

• Previous experience preparing and serving meals in a similar setting
• Certificate in Commercial Cookery or equivalent preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to solve problems independently
