Cook - Aged Care Catering

About the role

Aegis Aged Care is looking for a Cook for its Shawford Lodge, which accommodates 101 residents across three areas near Innaloo Westfield Shopping Centre and IKEA. The Cook works under the direction and support of the Chef Manager and is a valued member of the team.

Key responsibilities

• Organise kitchen staff for the preparation and serving of meals.
• Prepare residents' meals according to dietary plans and menus.
• Manage receipt of stores and food storage in line with regulations.
• Ensure correct food handling techniques are always followed.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
• Experience preparing food for a large number of people.
• Aged care experience highly regarded.
• Ability to supervise, organise and guide staff to deliver high-quality catering outcomes.
• Availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
