Contracts Manager

About the role

myBuildcorp is looking for a commercially astute Contracts Manager to deliver safe, high-quality and profitable construction projects. The role covers the management and administration of contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the subcontract process
• Handle contractual matters and explain them clearly to the project team
• Comply with Buildcorp business systems, keep project records accurate and share project details promptly
• Support the project manager with financial reporting and analysis using Jobpac
• Learn project planning and programming using ASTA
• Train, mentor and coach contracts administrators and other new staff, coordinating their work to deliver project outcomes
• Ensure safety and compliance on all projects

Required profile

• Solid knowledge of subcontract tendering, standards, procedures and the competitive market
• 4+ years of experience in the construction industry, including in a similar role
• Construction Safety Induction (white card)
• Construction or engineering degree, or a building-related qualification with equivalent experience, is advantageous

Required skills

• Proficiency in Jobpac
• Proficiency in web-based collaboration software (iTWOcx)
• Developing knowledge of ASTA for planning and tracking projects
• Ability to identify and control construction risk, and to determine key client and builder obligations
• Strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills
