Contracts Manager – Construction Projects

About the role

The Contracts Manager will oversee the commercial and contractual aspects of major construction projects, ensuring obligations are met while supporting safe, on‑time and budget‑conscious delivery. Reporting to the Commercial and Risk Manager, the role works closely with project and client teams to protect the company’s commercial interests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual elements of construction projects, including procurement and subcontractor management.
• Review contracts, tenders, quotations and subcontract agreements.
• Identify, assess and mitigate commercial and contractual risks.
• Administer variations, claims, disputes and ensure contract compliance.
• Support financial management, budgeting and commercial reporting.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Build and sustain relationships with clients, subcontractors and key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business or a related discipline.
• Significant experience in a Contracts Manager or similar commercial role within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial management principles.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven capacity to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced project environment.
