Contract Specialist – Hybrid (Canberra/Melbourne)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Contract Specialist to join our team in a hybrid capacity, based in either Canberra or Melbourne. You will work closely with commercial, legal, sales, delivery and client stakeholders to manage contracts throughout their lifecycle and help mitigate commercial risks.

Key responsibilities

• Support contract management across multiple projects, accounts and business units.
• Collaborate with account leadership, commercial teams and client stakeholders to align contractual requirements with business priorities.
• Identify, escalate and resolve commercial and contractual risks and issues.
• Assist with pre‑award activities, including contract drafting, review and deal‑shaping discussions.
• Participate in negotiation and ongoing management of client contracts throughout their lifecycle.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, commercial policies and governance requirements.
• Work collaboratively with teams across different locations and cultures to achieve commercial objectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in contract management or commercial contract administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain the required Australian Government security clearance.
• Professional membership or certification (e.g., WorldCC or NCMA) is advantageous.
