Container Refund Point (CRP) Sorter - Bundaberg

About the role

IMPACT Community Services Limited is recruiting for multiple casual Container Refund Point (CRP) Sorter positions across several locations in Bundaberg. Each role offers about 15 to 20 hours per week. A CRP Sorter provides excellent customer service while receiving, sorting and counting eligible recyclable containers.

Key responsibilities

• Direct customers to available parking spots
• Assist customers, as needed, to remove products from their vehicles using correct manual handling technique
• Identify and sort eligible containers such as bottles, cans and glass wine and spirit bottles
• Count the product and provide a written tally, then share it with customers before giving the information to the Supervisor
• Deliver the cash refund to customers at their vehicle
• Provide friendly, courteous face-to-face customer service
• Perform general cleaning to keep the work area safe, clean and efficient

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience providing face-to-face customer service with a friendly, professional approach
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and undertake physically demanding work safely
• Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Willingness to work in a recycling environment, including handling recyclable materials, working in a shed and working rostered hours

Required skills

• Strong numeracy skills to count and record recyclable containers accurately and efficiently
• Forklift licence (highly desirable)
