Cleaner - Evening Shifts

About the role

Sheldon College is looking for reliable and motivated Cleaners to join its Cleaning team. Working as part of a supportive team, you will help keep classrooms, administration buildings and college facilities clean, safe and hygienic. The role carries responsibility for student safety and wellbeing, so compliance with the College's Child Safe Standards, policies and procedures, and relevant legislative and duty of care obligations is required.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise facilities
• Operate cleaning equipment
• Replenish supplies
• Report maintenance and safety concerns
• Support the presentation of the college grounds and event spaces

Required profile

• Previous commercial, education or hospitality cleaning experience is desirable but not essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual and able to work evening shifts consistently
• Strong attention to detail and good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically capable of manual handling and cleaning duties
• Commitment to safe work practices, PPE use, and high standards of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality

Work conditions

• Evening shifts, 3:30pm to 7:30pm, Monday to Friday
• Up to 20 hours per week; part-time and casual opportunities available
