Construction Supervisor - Residential Homes

About the role

The Construction Supervisor at Brett Harvey Design & Construction, part of Maas Group Holdings, oversees all aspects of residential construction of new homes. The role reports directly to the Construction & Warranty Manager and ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong WHS standards. It involves coordinating with contractors, suppliers and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Complete weekly construction updates with the Construction & Warranty Manager, keeping each project forward scheduled in the software operating system (framework and Build pass).
• Proactively schedule the allocation of materials and trades to job sites so homes are built on time, with the support of the Construction & Warranty Manager.
• Ensure homes are completed on time and within the allocated budget.
• Carry out weekly site safety checks on every project and log communications such as toolbox talks, contractor compliance and general site safety requirements in Build pass, in line with company policy.
• Oversee assigned construction projects and monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
• Meet contractual conditions in internal and external building contracts.
• Liaise with clients and manage their expectations on post-contract variations, which must be sent to the building services team for costing before completion.

Required profile

• Motivated, well organised, customer focused and able to prioritise tasks; flexible and open to implementing new processes.
• Able to identify defects or problems proactively and act efficiently to fix or prevent them.
• Building Trade Certificate or tertiary education in Construction Management.
• 5 years of experience in the residential project home industry is desired.
