About the role

Maas Group Holdings is looking for a skilled Carpenter for a permanent, full-time position in Dubbo, New South Wales. The role is essential for the successful execution of building and construction projects, with a focus on high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Construct, install and repair structures and fixtures made from wood, plywood and wallboard.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Measure, cut and shape wood, plastic and other materials using hand and power tools.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and building codes.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to meet project timelines and quality standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment and report issues to management.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior carpenters and apprentices.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, with a minimum of 5 years in the building and construction industry.
• Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in carpentry.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods, including installation and construction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
