Construction Modeler – Steel Detailing

About the role

DBM Vircon is seeking a Construction Modeler to join its Brisbane team. You will prepare and develop accurate 3D models, detail drawings and assemblies for complex mining, energy and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare models, detail drawings and assemblies with high accuracy.
• Collaborate with senior modelers, project coordinators and managers to meet client requirements.
• Support clash detection, quality‑checking and issue resolution.
• Incorporate approved changes and revisions into models and drawings.
• Manage personal workload and meet assigned deadlines.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of detailing/modeling experience, preferably with steel construction drawings.
• Certificate or Diploma in Structural/Mechanical Engineering Drafting or similar.
• Ability to interpret instructions, solve problems and develop technical expertise.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Tekla Structures.
• Experience with other CAD software.
