Construction Manager – Transmission Line Projects

About the role

Samsung C&T is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead the bidding and execution of large‑scale transmission line projects in Melbourne. The role combines strategic oversight, supplier coordination, and on‑site leadership to deliver projects safely, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to the construction team and foster a culture of safety, quality and collaboration.
• Identify, engage and manage suppliers and sub‑contractors, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards and timelines.
• Participate in the Request for Tender (RFT) process, evaluate bids, negotiate contracts and finalize contractual terms.
• Develop and manage the construction budget, monitor costs and ensure cost‑effectiveness.
• Coordinate and supervise all on‑site activities, including installation of OEM (BESS) systems and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Electrical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Extensive experience managing large‑scale energy sector projects, particularly transmission line projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects and handling bids and tenders.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
