Construction Manager – Residential Building

About the role

Callaway Homes QLD is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead its residential construction division. Reporting directly to the Company Directors, you will oversee site supervisors, manage multiple projects and ensure delivery on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and manage Site Supervisors and construction teams.
• Oversee multiple residential projects from commencement through handover.
• Manage scheduling, programming and workflow to meet build targets.
• Monitor budgets, costs, variations and overall project profitability.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations and WHS requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
• Identify and resolve construction issues proactively.
• Improve processes, systems and operational efficiencies.
• Report on KPIs such as build times, quality, costs and supervisor performance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager or Senior Building Manager in residential construction.
• Experience managing a high volume of residential projects.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing Site Supervisors and subcontractors.
• Excellent understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgets and compliance.
• Commercial mindset focused on productivity, efficiency and profitability.
• Ability to work independently, make confident decisions and take accountability.
