Construction Manager – Lead Project Delivery Team

About the role

SA Construct, a multi‑award‑winning specialist contractor in South Australia, is expanding its leadership team. The Construction Manager will oversee the entire project delivery function across workshop and site operations, ensuring the collective performance of the Project Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and hold Project Managers accountable for delivery outcomes.
• Coordinate workshop production, site programmes, labour and subcontractor requirements.
• Schedule projects and resources, balancing competing priorities and resolving conflicts.
• Maintain visibility over budgets, forecasts, claims, variations and margin performance.
• Intervene early on projects under commercial, programme or operational pressure.
• Drive consistent project controls, reporting standards and operational safety across the portfolio.
• Support the development of emerging project professionals.
• Provide the General Manager with clear advice, recommendations and solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in façade, commercial cladding, roofing or other specialist construction subcontracting environments.
• Strong commercial construction background with disciplined control of labour, procurement, programme and site delivery.
• Demonstrated leadership ability to develop and mentor Project Managers.
• Capability to manage safety performance and commercial risk.
