Construction Manager – Lead Lean Operations in Adelaide

About the role

The Hickinbotham Group, South Australia’s largest residential builder, is seeking a senior Construction Manager to lead its Adelaide construction operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will drive lean transformation, improve productivity and ensure the delivery of high‑quality homes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a large operational team to deliver homes safely, efficiently and profitably.
• Apply Lean principles, standardisation and continuous‑improvement methodologies across all construction activities.
• Reduce build times, waste, defects and cycle times while increasing productivity.
• Strengthen planning, workflow and scheduling processes.
• Develop people, mentor future leaders and build high‑performing teams.
• Enhance customer outcomes and uphold the highest quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven senior leader with a track record of improving performance in large‑scale operations.
• Commercially minded, respected by peers and capable of balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.
• Experience in residential construction, commercial construction, manufacturing, logistics, production or similar large‑scale environments.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire and drive accountability.
