Construction Manager – Earthworks, Civil & NPI Works

About the role
Brunel International is looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead earthworks, civil and NPI works on a major resource project in Papua New Guinea. This FIFO position reports directly to the Project Manager and requires hands‑on leadership across a wide range of civil construction activities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and supervise all civil‑scope construction activities.
- Oversee contractor performance in quarry operations, haul roads, waste dumps, drainage systems, sediment ponds and bulk earthworks.
- Manage process‑plant civil and concrete works, including the construction of a new wharf.
- Lead the owner’s team of superintendents, supervisors and engineers to ensure quality, safety and schedule compliance.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager in earthworks, civil and NPI works, preferably on mining or resource projects.
- Strong knowledge of quarry operations, haul‑road construction, waste‑dump and drainage systems, sediment‑pond construction and bulk earthworks.
- Experience managing process‑plant civil and concrete works, including wharf construction.
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- FIFO availability for Papua New Guinea with a resilient approach to remote site conditions.
- Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
- Sound understanding of Australian and PNG construction standards, safety regulations and environmental requirements.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline are highly regarded.
