Construction Manager – Civil & Urban Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead our civil and urban development portfolio across Perth and regional Western Australia. Reporting to the General Manager – Civil & Urban, you will oversee a diverse range of subdivision, infrastructure and urban projects, ensuring they meet safety, quality, schedule and financial targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and motivate Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to deliver projects on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Drive portfolio performance across safety, quality, programme, commercial and client outcomes.
• Review project forecasts, cost‑to‑complete and financial performance, and intervene on under‑performing projects.
• Oversee resource allocation, workforce planning and HSEQ management plan implementation.
• Provide strategic leadership on commercial matters such as claims, variations, risk management and contractual disputes.
• Negotiate with clients, consultants and contractors to achieve positive commercial results.
• Analyse tender pricing, project programmes and delivery strategies to identify improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in land development, subdivision or major road and water infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and develop senior project staff.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing budgets and financial performance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
