Construction Estimator

About the role

The Estimator will join a fast‑paced Tier 3 commercial principal contractor in Sydney, supporting a strong pipeline of retail, fit‑out, refurbishment and new‑build projects up to $10M. Working closely with the National Estimating Manager, you will own tenders from initial review through to post‑tender negotiations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare BOQs, detailed cost estimates and professional tender submissions for commercial construction projects.
• Manage tenders from first‑principles estimating to final submission, including subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Conduct detailed take‑offs, review trade quotations and identify scope gaps, design discrepancies, risks and opportunities.
• Attend site inspections, assess existing conditions and support construction methodology and sequencing.

Required profile

• Proven experience estimating commercial projects up to approximately $10M for a principal/head contractor.
• Strong background in commercial fit‑out, refurbishment, retail and live‑environment projects.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
