About the role
This conjoint position links the University of Queensland’s School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences with the Audiology department at Princess Alexandra Hospital. As a Conjoint Research Fellow in Audiology, you will lead and contribute to clinically focused research that informs adult audiology practice across both institutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design, conduct, and disseminate high‑quality research in adult audiology, including securing external funding.
- Contribute to postgraduate teaching and supervise UQ students.
- Develop and support researcher capability and supervisee engagement.
- Build partnerships with UQ, PAH, Metro South Health, Queensland Health, professional bodies, industry, and the community.
Required profile
- Completed PhD in Audiology with clinical experience.
- Demonstrated research record relevant to audiology services at PAH.
- Ability to develop collaborative research initiatives and secure funding.
- Experience supervising students and contributing to teaching.

What we offer
- Fixed‑term contract for three years (40% FTE) with additional casual clinical academic work.
- Base salary $119,462 – $141,545 per year plus 17% superannuation.
