Configuration and Data Management Officer

About the role

The Configuration and Data Management Officer will provide engineering configuration management and data management services for the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Program. This role supports baseline identification, change control, and ensures that all engineering data and documentation are properly catalogued and retrievable.

Key responsibilities

• Implement CM processes aligned with Saab Global Management System and coordinate engineering data and documentation.
• Support Configuration Control Boards, track configuration changes, and prepare Configuration Status Account Reports.
• Manage information and documentation registers, receive and distribute supplier and customer data, and maintain the configuration management database.
• Assist in software release preparation, archive records, and ensure compliance with audits.

Required profile

• Industry‑recognised Configuration and Data Management training or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years experience in defence or industry project‑based engineering environments.
• Australian citizenship and ability to obtain Defence Security Clearance.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with specialist configuration management tools and engineering data management systems.
• Knowledge of Configuration Management Database applications (e.g., Enterprise Solutions).
• Experience administering SharePoint or similar document management systems.
