Condition Assessor & Field Coordinator (12‑Month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Aurecon is seeking a Condition Assessor / Field Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to join its Northern Territory Buildings Team. You will combine office‑based analysis with extensive field work, travelling across Darwin, regional centres and remote communities to assess the condition of key public infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct condition assessments of schools, health centres, offices, hospitals and police stations.
• Collect and record data on building services such as air‑conditioning, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Identify building defects and potential safety issues, documenting findings accurately.
• Arrange site access, confirm inspection requirements and coordinate inspection schedules.
• Organise travel logistics including accommodation, vehicles and other arrangements for multi‑day trips.
• Develop and maintain inspection programmes tailored to diverse facilities.

Required profile

• Highly organised and reliable with strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northern Territory, including remote locations.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with site representatives.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Flexible approach to changing schedules and site conditions.
