Concrete Remediation Supervisor - Construction FIFO

About the role

Flanco, a civil contracting company serving the mining and resources sector, is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor for remediation works in civil construction. This is a new, long-term ongoing contract with a FIFO arrangement from Perth to WA. The work typically covers mills, crushers, concrete thickeners, conveyor footings and stockyards, tunnels, power stations and paste plants. The supervisor leads through action, reporting directly to the Company Directors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise 10-20 crew on site and act as the main point of contact for the project
• Be responsible for the financial, schedule and safety performance of the area of responsibility
• Ensure resources and support are provided so the project runs efficiently
• Assist with developing and reviewing the project budget
• Use business unit resources to get environmental, tenement and mining approvals completed in line with project requirements
• Drive accountability for safety and environmental management in design and construction
• Report regularly to the executive management team
• Manage changes in project scope, identify problems and lead contingency plans

Required profile

• At least 3 years' supervisory experience in civil construction
• Experience in detailed earthworks, formwork and concreting
• Proven track record in delivering mine infrastructure construction
• Ability to supervise a multi-disciplinary workforce
• Clean National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one
• Minimum Manual C class driver's licence; HR licence preferred but not essential
• Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test, and ongoing testing during employment

Required skills

• Detailed earthworks, formwork and concreting
• Reading, interpreting and following plans
• Quoting experience is advantageous but not essential
• Trade background in formwork carpentry and/or concrete is advantageous
