Concrete Field Tester

About the role

Join the Skygate Laboratory team as a Concrete Field Tester, ensuring all concrete sampling and testing complies with Australian Standards and NATA requirements. You will work primarily on construction sites and in the laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Sample and test fresh concrete on 3‑5 construction sites per day according to Australian standards.
• Assist lab technicians with compression and other strength tests on cured concrete specimens.
• Enter test results into multiple data systems and report to the Laboratory Supervisor.

Required profile

• Valid Queensland driver’s licence.
• Previous qualification in Laboratory Techniques or a related signatory qualification.
• Physically fit to carry 15 litres of concrete per test and able to pass a pre‑employment medical including drug/alcohol testing.

Required skills

• Concrete sampling and testing.
• Compression and strength testing of concrete specimens.
• Laboratory techniques in line with Australian Standards.
