Company Accountant – Finance Lead for Australia & NZ

About the role

This senior finance position reports directly to the Australian Managing Director and leads the finance function across Australia and New Zealand. You will partner with international stakeholders and drive finance transformation initiatives within a German‑owned engineering and materials handling organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow processes
• Oversee general ledger, balance‑sheet reconciliations and month‑end reporting
• Handle project accounting, job costing and inventory reporting
• Supervise payroll, BAS, payroll tax and workers‑compensation lodgements
• Produce capex reporting and expenditure analysis
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Support ERP improvements and future SAP initiatives
• Partner with operational stakeholders to provide financial insight

Required profile

• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
• Experience as a Company Accountant, Finance Manager or Management Accountant
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting capabilities
• Background in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, construction or similar environments
• Hands‑on, proactive and commercially focused approach
