Community Support Worker - Northern Beaches

About the role

Lumia Care is looking for Community Support Workers to help clients in the Northern Beaches and surrounding areas live independently. The position is casual, starts immediately and runs on Monday to Friday shifts from 7am to 3pm. A $500 signing bonus is offered to ideal candidates (terms and conditions apply).

Key responsibilities

• Personal care such as showering, grooming and dressing.
• Domestic assistance and meal preparation.
• Social support and providing companionship and emotional support.
• Transport to appointments.
• Use of compression stockings, medication prompts, hoists and other equipment.

Required profile

• Caring, compassionate and reliable personality; empathy is essential.
• Cert III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or similar.
• Experience in disability or community care.
• Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
• Current First Aid certificate, police check, and willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Screening and a Working with Children Check.
