Community Support Worker - Hamlyn Terrace & Surrounds

About the role

Lumia Care is hiring Community Support Workers to support clients in Hamlyn Terrace and nearby suburbs. The position is casual with an immediate start for successful candidates, and offers a permanent part-time arrangement with an industry leader.

Key responsibilities

• Assist a high care needs client with personal care, hoisting, manual handling and domestic assistance, across day and overnight weekday shifts.
• Help clients with social support, including transport to appointments, shopping and community outings.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect, such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing.
• Support clients to stay in their own homes through help with meals, cleaning and companionship.

Required profile

• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a must.
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training.
• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable; experience in aged care or community is also highly desirable.
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle are a must.
• Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willingness to obtain one.
• Current police check (mandatory) or willingness to obtain one.
• NDIS worker screening check, Working with Children Check, or willingness to obtain them.
