Community Support Worker - Casual Call-In Pool (Northern Suburbs)

About the role

This is a casual call-in pool position for a Community Support Worker covering the northern suburbs. You will empower individuals to live independently and stay engaged in their community, providing personal care and practical support tailored to each client's goals, preferences and care needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients with high care needs, including assistance with showering, grooming and dressing, and support with hoists, bowel care and manual handling
• Offer domestic assistance such as meal preparation, cleaning and companionship so clients can stay in their own homes
• Help clients with social support, transport to appointments, shopping and community outings
• Work varied shifts: weekday days 7am-6pm, weekends, active and inactive night shifts

Required profile

• A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a must
• Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is highly desirable
• Experience in the disability sector
• Valid driver's licence and own vehicle are a must
• Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training

Required skills

• Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willingness to obtain one
• Current Police Check (mandatory) or willingness to obtain one
• NDIS Worker screening check or willingness to obtain one
• Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
