Community Safety Coordinator

About the role

Roper Gulf Regional Council is recruiting a Community Safety Coordinator to join its team in Borroloola on a full-time, fixed-term contract until 30 June 2028. The coordinator oversees and coordinates the delivery of Community Safety programs in Borroloola and its surrounding region.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate Community Safety programs, which may include Community Night Patrol, Sport & Recreation, Outside School Hours Care, Youth Services, Library, Indigenous Broadcasting and Alcohol & Other Drugs programs.
• Roster and supervise staff, and provide support to remote teams.
• Report against funding agreements and manage program budgets.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders such as NT Police, service providers, funding bodies and community members to support community safety, health and wellbeing.

• Salary scale Level 5: $83,855.24 to $92,186.19 per annum.
