Community Occupational Therapist (Canberra)

About the role

Renew Living, a community-based allied health provider, is hiring a Community Occupational Therapist in Canberra. The role supports clients to maintain and improve their functional ability, independence and quality of life across community settings, with a billable target of just 5 hours per day. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with direct access to a Clinical Lead for clinical mentoring and an OT Team Leader for operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services in community settings, including face-to-face visits, telehealth, home visiting and kindy-based sessions
• Support clients to maintain and improve their functional ability, independence and quality of life
• Work within a multidisciplinary team with a Clinical Lead and OT Team Leader
• Choose your preferred mix of NDIS, DVA and Home Care clients

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master of Occupational Therapy (or equivalent)
• Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
• 2-4 years of clinical experience, ideally in community, NDIS, aged care or home care
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one
• Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain one
• Valid Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to build therapeutic relationships
• Confidence working autonomously in community settings while collaborating with a team
• Evidence-based clinical practice and commitment to continuous professional development
• Nice to have: experience across multiple funding streams, home modifications, assistive technology or equipment prescription, and mentoring students or junior clinicians

What we offer

• Salary of $90,000-$110,000 per year for employees, or competitive rates for contractors
• Revenue bonus of 10% of revenue earned above target
