Community Engagement & Partnerships Officer

About the role

IMPACT Community Services Limited, a community-owned organisation supporting the most vulnerable and marginalised since 1978, is seeking a Community Engagement & Partnerships Officer for its Community and Cultural Connections Unit in Hervey Bay. This is a full-time, fixed-term role until 30 June 2027, focused on strengthening awareness of services, community connections and referral opportunities across the Butchulla Country (Fraser Coast).

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community organisations, stakeholders and service partners.
• Develop referral pathways and strengthen community connections to support service delivery.
• Contribute to partnership and engagement activities coordinated by the Unit.
• Represent the organisation in local networks, meetings, forums and engagement activities.
• Promote IMPACT services and programs to increase community awareness and access.
• Maintain accurate stakeholder records and help with reporting and administrative requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in community services, child and family services, mental health services or related sectors (highly desirable).
• Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with community members, organisations and stakeholders.
• Ability to engage effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
• Understanding of QLD Health and Education Queensland department guidelines and referral processes.
• Knowledge of the Fraser Coast community and local service system.
