Community Engagement Advisor

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Community Engagement Advisor to join our team in Austral, NSW. The role supports the Upper South Creek Networks Program – a major water infrastructure project delivering pipelines and pump stations for Western Sydney’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Support community and stakeholder engagement activities throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify potential community impacts, assess risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Develop clear, engaging communications that meet Sydney Water’s standards.
• Collaborate with delivery partners, project teams and residents to resolve issues and foster trust.
• Participate in site visits, attend community meetings and provide expert advice on engagement matters.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., in communications, community development, or related field).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience working with diverse stakeholders in a construction or infrastructure environment.

Required skills
