Communications Officer – Strategic Communications

About the role

The City of Boroondara is seeking a motivated Communications Officer to join its Strategic Communications team. This full‑time, ongoing position supports a range of council services that enhance community connection, participation and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic communications support across key council programs such as arts, culture, health, community development and library services.
• Produce high‑quality, engaging content for multiple council communication channels.
• Collaborate with graphic design, multimedia and digital marketing colleagues to deliver cohesive campaigns.
• Develop communications plans and brief creative projects, ensuring accuracy and creativity.
• Monitor campaign performance, capture learnings and recommend improvements.
• Maintain the council’s reputation and brand while reaching target audiences effectively.
