Communications Coordinator

About the role
The Communications Coordinator will lead the day‑to‑day operations of the Council’s Communications Team, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality communications that inform, engage and connect the community.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver Council communications, media relations, digital content and community engagement activities.
- Lead the Communications Team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards.
- Develop and implement communications, media and public‑relations initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and media contacts.
Required profile
- A degree or equivalent qualification in communications, media or a related field, or substantial relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering communications and PR initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven leadership and team‑management capabilities.
Required skills
- Knowledge of contemporary communications, community engagement and digital media practices.
- Stakeholder engagement and media management capability.
