Communications Advisor – Quit Centre

About the role

The Quit Centre is seeking a Communications Advisor to lead engagement and communication activities that support health professionals with the latest smoking and vaping cessation information. You will work within the Prevention Division of Cancer Council Victoria, reporting to the Communications & Engagement Manager, Quit.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and evaluate communication and engagement initiatives for the Quit Centre.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure aligned delivery of campaigns.
• Maintain and optimise content on the Quit Centre website, keeping it current and insight‑driven.
• Manage social media accounts, develop content calendars and respond to enquiries to maximise impact.
• Identify new engagement opportunities arising from emerging issues and external developments.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Communications, Journalism or a related field, or substantial equivalent experience.
• Proven experience planning and executing integrated multi‑channel media and communication campaigns, including public relations and digital media.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a values‑led, hybrid environment.
